The Atlanta Jazz Festival is regarded as one of the country’s largest FREE jazz festivals. It is an annual music showcase, celebrating jazz legends and up-and-coming jazz greats in venues throughout metropolitan Atlanta during the entire month of May. Culminating during each Memorial Day weekend, the festival features show-stopping performances at Piedmont Park. The Festival is produced by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, and it is FREE and open to the public.

This year’s festival features a highly anticipated performance from Atlanta’s own Kathleen Bertrand on Saturday evening, May 26th.
Well known and multifaceted recording artist and writer Kathleen Bertrand is a native Atlantan and Spelman College graduate, whose performances have ranged from two Olympic Games to performances before two presidents, to appearances at jazz festivals world-wide. Bertrand toured and recorded as vocalist with jazz vibraphonist Roy Ayers before settling down to raise her family.
